The Youth Observer 2015 Writes

Fellow Ghanaians and young people out there, it was indeed a great opportunity when I was appointed to serve as the Ghana United Nations youth Observer in 2015.The experience and most importantly the exposure has greatly influenced my life, this experience has made me realized that you do not need to experience hunger and poverty in order to know that a child out there sleeps without a day’s meal neither do you need to experience the horrors of war, or be held at gun point to know that indeed, terrorism is not fiction and some children are being recruited as child soldiers to perpetuate violence, it will interest you to know that, there are young people who shared our ideals and values but have lost their lives and the world has lost great leaders who would have been catalyst for change. Several children have been made orphans and refugees in other countries awaiting our support.

If you are privileged to school in a harmonious environment with all necessary infrastructure, do not assume that there are no such schools still under trees, with others students not having the needed text books and stationery to support them in learning. This has rekindled in me a passion, motivation and the will power to work tirelessly towards achieving the SDGs and to assist in achieving quality education and campaign against terrorism.

The more we delay, the more we deny others the chance to be liberated. The world is currently facing a test, this test is everything the UN stands for and we cannot afford to fail this test. The Global currency is peace and we need it to survive, let’s work towards its achievement. #OUR SDGs, OUR FUTURE
